Monday through Thursday: - 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Friday:
- 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Saturday:
- 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.*
*Please Note: Library is closed on Saturday during the summer, from when
school lets out until it reconvenes.
Children's Library is closed one hour prior to the
close of the Library.

Directions:
Via Route 280 East: Route 280 East to exit 16 (immediately over
drawbridge). Keep to the right side of the exit ramp. At the second
light after the exit, turn left on Harrison Avenue. Go straight until
you pass the intersection of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. Go Straight one
block to Fifth Street and make a right. Go one block and make another
right. At the end of the street you will be in the Library/Post Office
Parking Lot
Directions From The Garden State Parkway: Take Exit 145. Bear
right after tolls but do not exit onto Central Avenue. Take Route 280
East and follow above directions to the Library.
Directions From The New Jersey Turnpike: Take Exit 15W. Keep
to the right. You will be on Harrison Avenue, going in the direction of
Newark. Continue going straight on Harrison Avenue until your reach
Fifth Street, (7 lights). Make a left on Fifth Street, (Harrison High
School will be on your right), go one block and make a right. At the end
of the block, you will be in the Parking Lot.

How to Get a Library Card:
To get a free library card, you must live, work, or go to school in
Harrison. Proof of address (in the form of a driver's license, utility
bill or bank statement postmarked with your current name and address)
and an identification are required. There is a non-resident fee of
$20.00 per year for persons who are not Harrison residents. If you work
in Harrison there is a fee of $2.00 per year with
proof of employment.
Note: Lost card fee is $1.00.

Rules:
A patron may check out up to three items at a time in any
combination, i.e. a book, magazine or video, three books, three videos,
etc.
Loan period: Adult Non-fiction - 3 weeks
Videos - 2 days for $1:00
All other material - 2 weeks
Juveniles must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to borrow a
video.
No more than three (3) items may be borrowed within a loan period. No
more than two items on the same subject may be taken within a loan
period.
